<description>Bring good falling technique into your training and/or coaching: http://bit.ly/Art-of-Falling  Learn and improve at parkour in general: http://bit.ly/LearnParkour  The roll is a foundational piece of the study of falling. Whenever you can possibly spread out the impact of a fall with some variation of a roll, it is usually the safest and lowest impact method. It's also very useful for spreading out the impact from a drop to save your joints and heighten your potential. And lastly, the forward roll is a progression towards other techniques like dive rolls, assisted dive rolls, side rolls, etc... This tutorial will be practical for Parkour practitioners, martial artists who want to be real world practical, i.e. off the mats, and for any movement art or sport in which you'll need to have an ability to fall well, so tricking, bouldering, dancing, even skateboarding, etc...
